You'll care for patients the way HHC always has: listen first, explain before you adjust, and treat the cause instead of chasing symptoms. You'll work alongside Dr. Lackner, who has practiced in Peoria since 2001, and with the other practitioners on site.
As a 1099 independent contractor, you run your own practice inside HHC with a full done-for-you system — reception area, billing, website, lead forms, rent, electricity, training, and overflow patients from Dr. Lackner, who takes a small percentage for those referrals. You start with the tools and the patients instead of building from nothing.
What you'll do
- Run new patient consultations, exams, and reports of findings
- Deliver adjustments and care plans for families, kids, expecting moms, and athletes
- Teach patients what's going on in their bodies and how to take part in their own care
- Work with Dr. Lackner and on-site practitioners on shared patients
- Help grow the practice through community talks and events
What you'll need
- A Doctor of Chiropractic degree from a CCE-accredited program
- An active Illinois chiropractic physician license
- Full-spine adjusting skills. Gonstead experience is a plus.
- A warm, direct way with patients. You take time, and people can tell.

Do I need Gonstead training to practice at HHC?
No. Gonstead experience is a plus, and Dr. Lackner uses it daily, but strong full-spine skills and a patient-first mindset matter more. If you want to deepen your Gonstead work, you'll be learning next to someone who has practiced it in Peoria for more than two decades.
Is the chiropractor role W-2 or independent contractor?
The chiropractor role is a 1099 independent contractor position. You run your own practice inside HHC with a full done-for-you system — reception area, website, lead forms, billing, rent, electricity, training, and business-side support — plus overflow patients from Dr. Lackner, who takes a small percentage for those referrals. We're looking for licensed, complementary providers who fit whole-person care: massage therapists, pelvic health specialists, nutrition professionals, and energy practitioners like Reiki. You run your own practice. You'll share a welcoming office with HHC's chiropractors and Trinity Wellness, and patients often move between providers.
How much does it cost to rent treatment room space at HHC?

Are front desk or chiropractic assistant jobs open?
